The Role: The Foundation of Our Projects

We are seeking a hardworking, adaptable Civil Infrastructure & Concrete Crew Member. This is a highly active, hands-on role focused primarily on concrete work, formwork, and site preparation. However, we don’t want you to stay in one box forever. We love to promote from within. While you will spend most of your time on the ground executing essential site work, you will work directly alongside our operators and drivers, with massive opportunities to be cross-trained, build new skills, and upgrade your credentials as you prove your reliability and drive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Skilled Construction Work: Set up forms, tie rebar, and pour/finish concrete pads ranging from 1 to 10 yards to support heavy electrical infrastructure.
• Equipment Operation: Operate excavators, skid steers, screw compressors, rock drills, pile driving equipment, commercial trucks and trailers, and compaction equipment to perform tasks including excavation, trenching, backfilling, compaction, rock drilling, pile driving, loading and unloading materials, and landscaping to specification.
• Project Support: Read and interpret basic drawings to ensure layouts and installations are completed accurately and to specification.
• Positive Attitude and Willing to Learn: Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate a willingness to learn and assist with all aspects of the work.

Who We’re Looking For

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:

• Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate a willingness to learn and assist with all aspects of the work.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, a problem-solving mindset
• Reliable transportation to job sites, a strong work ethic, and total trustworthiness.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and currently reside in (or be planning to relocate to) Nova Scotia.
• Ability to pass drug/alcohol testing and background checks as required by specific utility and commercial project sites.

Nice-to-Have (But we can help you build these skills):

• Experience in construction, site preparation, concrete, or foundations.
• Hands-on experience with formwork, rebar installation, and concrete finishing.
• Class 1 or Class 3 license (or experience towing heavy trailers).
• Experience operating skid steers or mini-excavators.
• Background in specialized drainage, erosion control, or landscaping.
• Experience driving piles and or rock drilling using DTH hammers
