Highmark is proud to support the Glooscap Landing Microgrid Project in Nova Scotia in partnership with Natural Force Solar —a groundbreaking initiative led by Glooscap First Nation and Glooscap Ventures. This project exemplifies Indigenous leadership in sustainable energy development.

Phase one of the project includes a 290-kW ground-mounted solar array and two electric vehicle charging stations, aiming to supply up to 80% of Glooscap Landing’s energy needs with solar power. This initiative not only reduces reliance on fossil fuels but also enhances energy resilience and aligns with Mi’kmaq values of environmental stewardship.

Highmark is responsible for the electrical scope of the project, integrating the DCFCs and solar PV system with the electrical grid.
